The Associate Director, HR and Employee Experience is responsible for guiding workplace culture, enhancing employee experience, and driving HR initiatives that align with the organization's values and business goals. As the leader of the Employee Experience team, this role partners closely with executives and department leadership as well as team members from across the organization to ensure that every leader and team member feels supported, inspired, and empowered to do their best work.
Responsibilities:
- Culture & Engagement
- Lead initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture.
- Design and execute employee engagement programs, recognition strategies, and feedback efforts across individuals and departments.
- Champion DEI efforts and ensure equitable practices across the employee lifecycle.
- Talent & Development
- Lead recruiting efforts based on department and organizational needs.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding experiences that reflect the agency’s values.
- Partner with department leads to identify development needs and training, address issues and challenges, and implement learning programs that support individual, team, and organizational goals.
- Support career pathing, growth, and performance management.
- Define the training and people development programs for the organization and implement with consistency.
- HR Operations
- Manage core HR functions including compliance, policies, benefits, and employee relations.
- Maintain and improve HR systems and processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk through proactive policy development.
- Employee Experience Strategy
- Serve as a strategic advisor to department leaders on all people-related matters.
- Oversee data and insights to inform decisions and continuously improve the employee experience including providing support to the twice annual employee experience survey and the ongoing employee listening program.
- Craft and support communications related to HR initiatives and organizational changes.
- Team and Department Collaboration
- Act as a connector across teams to promote transparency, collaboration, and trust.
- Facilitate cross-functional initiatives that support employee engagement, wellbeing, and productivity.
- Represent HR in organization-wide planning and decision-making forums.
Desired Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in consulting, creative, and/or agency environments.
- Proven success in building and scaling employee experience programs.
- Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and DEI principles.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative setting.
- Passion for people, culture, and creating meaningful workplace experiences.
- Experience with ADP a plus.
Salary: $95,000 - $120,000
- Final salary will be determined based on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, training and experience, and may vary from the amount listed above.
